Caring for Our Communities
As part of the Arrow Family of Companies, Glens Falls National Bank is invested in the community and committed to you! We are your neighbors. Our roots in the region go back more than 170 years, and serving the individuals and organizations that make our community a great place to live has always been an important part of our company culture.
Our 2023 Giving in Action
One of the strongest ways we care for our communities is through our charitable contributions, partnerships and volunteerism. Over the past five years, our team has donated nearly $3 million to local organizations. In 2023, Arrow donated $781,000. Of that total, $103,076 was directly from employee contributions. Along with financial contributions, our team donated 11,193 volunteer hours to meet the needs of individuals, families and businesses in our region. We’re proud to report that our contributions and volunteerism both increased 19 percent from the previous year.
Volunteerism
Our team prides itself on being active members of the communities where we live and work. Team members consistently report the ways they use their time and unique expertise in opportunities big and small for our community. We are constantly looking for new ways to serve our neighbors, and to strengthen our current volunteer relationships. Through non-profit service, board leadership participation and more, Arrow’s volunteerism helps low- to-moderate income individuals across the eight counties of our geographic footprint.
We also believe ongoing education is one of the most effective ways to strengthen financial lives in our communities. Our experienced professionals will visit schools and community gatherings to speak about fraud, financial literacy and first-time home ownership.
Donations and Sponsorship
We provide support to non-profits throughout our region in a variety of ways. Through financial grants, fundraising events, sponsorships, and donation drives, we work with hundreds of organizations making a difference. We support mental health, financial empowerment, education, health and human services, safe and affordable housing, business and farm support, environmental sustainability and much more.
